Tom Whiteley’s last school photograph tells a thousand words. Wearing a striped blazer and the most beautiful smile, it shows a carefree little boy; with a shock of blonde hair and a golden suntan, he looks handsome, happy, out-going. Not long after that photo was taken, Tom returned from a school trip complaining of a headache. Within 10 days he’d been diagnosed with a brain tumour. Seven months later, aged 9, he died. To see his smiling face in that school picture, it seems impossible that Tom grew so ill so fast – and totally unreal that he’s died.

A passionate animal lover, he had always wanted to go on safari – so Debbie and Andrew decided to take the whole family on a luxury trip to South Africa. Getting flights and insurance for such a sick child was far from easy but, just six days after learning Tom was terminal, they flew off on the holiday of a lifetime.

After reading an article on Cambridge News "Cycling in Cambridge: more dangerous than extreme sports"  and after the view of many bikes child trailer among the traffic in Cambridge (UK) I have decided to write this post. This is my first post in English, so let me wrong. First of all a bike child trailer is a bicycle trailer designed to carry one or more children behind a cyclist.



The bicycle trailer was originally designed for cargo transport. Then the children have become "the cargo".

The article mentioned speaks about Jane Richards, 40, who was cycling while carrying her five-month-old son Fox in a special pannier when the collision happened in Cherry Hinton Road at 9.10am yesterday on 2 December 2011. It’s not the first time the family have been the victims of a road traffic collision while cycling. The couple’s seven-year-old son Moel broke his foot while cycling last year in an accident involving a car.

My opinion is that it is dangerous to put her child up to to the road surface. A child of five months, with his fragile head, exposed to any shock! The bicycle trailer was originally designed for cargo transport. Then the children have become "the cargo". You pedals and you forget to have a child under your responsibility. A chic way, exposing the head of these children up to the bumpers and wheels of cars. Madness is to carry around your children as if they were packages exposed to any fatality. Where are the protective and caring mothers?"

Immacolata disoccupazione. Dove è stato concepito il mantra dell'ingiustizia?

I professoroni bocconiani di tutta Italia sono ancora lì, senza scrupoli di coscienza. Non hanno detto una sola parola mentre questa spaventosa crisi si andava plasmando; avrebbero dovuto disconoscere se stessi, loro che occupavano i posti chiave nei CdA e che si erano già venduti alla consulenza più remunerata. A mettere in guardia la società erano rimaste le esternazioni di quattro comici comunisti. Le stesse elite universitarie ora vantano di possedere gli anticorpi contro la crisi. Per decenni, nelle aule universitarie italiane di stampo bocconiano, hanno insegnato a dei robot aziendali, come innestare e far crescere maestoso un sistema che forgiava la ricchezza di pochi manager strapagati e la povertà del resto dei poveri cristi. Ho cercato, prima che la crisi dirompesse nella sua gravità, di denunciare il meccanismo perverso delle università prestate al potere con i post Ca' Foscari è diventata la lavatrice della reputazione per chi deve rifarsi un nome e Magnifici cambiamenti climatici all'Università Ca' Foscari Venezia. La questione morale. Tutte le persone che ho conosciuto che a vari livelli hanno cercato di denunciare il mantra dell'ingiustizia venivano tacciate per essere ideologicamente disturbate. Il punto è che neanche Martin Lutero avrebbe potuto stavolta denunciare e fermare una tale vendita delle coscienze. 



Il ricco ed il povero. Il povero per farcela dovrebbe piegarsi.


Dove è stato concepito il mantra dell'ingiustizia? Nelle aule universitarie di bocconiana memoria in tutta Italia, dove i baroni universitari teorizzavano che per merito (eh già il merito) fosse giusto che Alessandro Profumo ricevesse una superliquidazione per le dimissioni da Unicredit, di 38 milioni lordi. Che, sommati allo stipendio fino al 21 settembre, pari a 2,59 milioni, hanno portato a 40,59 milioni lordi il totale percepito nel 2010 dall'ex amministratore delegato della principale banca italiana per patrimonio. Negli accordi con Profumo la banca si è impegnata a versare ulteriori 2 milioni in beneficenza. Già perchè sono aumentate le buste paga dei vertici delle società quotate alla Borsa di Milano nel 2010. Secondo un'inchiesta del Sole 24 Ore, sui bilanci finora pubblicati, l'anno scorso i compensi complessivi dei 100 manager più pagati di Piazza Affari sono cresciuti in media del 17% circa, a un totale di circa 300 milioni di euro, rispetto a 256 milioni nel 2009.  (Fonte: Ai top manager italiani un assegno post crisi da 300 milioni di euro - Il Sole 24 Ore) Il finale di questa incredibile storia. Sempre quello. L'Università Ca' Foscari invita Alessandro Profumo a spiegarci in cosa consiste questa crisi. Ci vuole coraggio, lo stesso che prima o poi avranno i poveri cristi per defenestrarvi.
