Help to free Greenpeace activists.

Please immediately release the 30 people currently detained in Russia following the boarding of the Greenpeace ship the Arctic Sunrise. The illegal boarding of the ship in international waters and subsequent hooliganism charges against its peaceful crew are unacceptable.

Right now, 28 of our activists, a photographer and a videographer are being held in custody by the Russian authorities. We urgently need your help to free them.

The Arctic Sunrise had been part of a peaceful protest against energy giant Gazprom, which is poised to drill for the first oil to come out of the icy waters of the Arctic.

Using a helicopter and ropes, armed Coast Guards illegally boarded the ship and held those on board under armed guard whilst they towed the ship to shore. Our team were then remanded for up to two months by a court in Murmansk.

The authorities said they needed time to investigate possible charges of piracy. On 23 October they changed those charges to hooliganism, which carries up to seven years in jail. This is a wildly disproportionate charge and is an assault on the right to peaceful protest.

The Arctic 30 have been in Russian prison for over one month now - please release them to their families without delay.

I just wanted to let you know, I love you, Don't ever let go'. Trattasi di Sonnentanza (Sun don't shine ft. Will Heard).

I've walked through the valleys of the wilderness in time,
Only to find out
That you have love in places I can't describe, yeah
I need you
It's the sunrise

I just wanted to let you know,
I love you
Don't ever let go
Cos the sun don't shine when you're not around mines
And I'll never, be without you

Singing the sun don't shine
The sun don't shine (x2)
The sun don't shine without you, without you

The world is bass and time, your love is mine
But the sun don't shine without you, without you, yeah

When I saw you rise the other day,
I felt our worries just seem to melt away into you
Into you, yeah

I just wanted to let you know
I love you
Don't ever let go
If the sun don't shine when you're not around mines
And I'll never, be without you

Singing the sun don't shine,
The sun don't shine (x2)
The sun don't shine without you, without you

The world is bass and time, your love is mine
But the sun don't shine without you, without you, yeah

Tutta ignoranza.

This isn't Sparta. It's Venice.

Canaletto, Capriccio with Venetian Motifs, Saint Louis Art Museum.
At the beginning we were only a village, with lots of huts. We fished and sold salt. We were free and no one dared to hazard into our waters: sandbanks and quagmires, shoals made treacherous by the tides. The coast mutates from day to day, from hour to hour actually.
The village was founded by people in misfortune, the refugee of Aquileia, destroyed by Attila and his Huns. Others came afterwards: from Gradus, Altinum, Concordia. People arrived the very night of the onslaught. They were frantic, hopeless, exhausted. The fishermen knew about a little group of islands in the middle of the lagoon separated by a wide canal, like a bit of a river which was lost in the sea. The men gathered dry grass to lie down on. The younger women stretched out to nurse their babies and someone managed to light a fire. The next day the carpenters began to cut down trees and build houses, the fishermen went out to fish. Our new homeland was born. We were all Veneti and we called our town Venetia. Our realm is the lagoon.  Our men know every corner of it, every shoal, every beach, every little island. It's indefinable, ambiguous: neither land nor sea, nor sky; when the low clouds merge with the foaming waves, it's all three things together - invisible, often, foggy in the winter and misty in the summer, flat like the surface of the water. Each one of those islands is covered by thick woods. Our children sleep cradled by the song of the nightingale and the cries of the gull. The children of each one of us belong to everyone. We share everything we have and we help one another. We build flat-bottomed boats that can go anywhere. We build ships that can face the open sea. Time will come in which Venetia will be pride of the earth and the lady of the sea.

Zucchero filato, marzapane, zucchero candito, lo so lo so è dura.

Dimenticavo, Renato Brunetta, genio malefico sta ancora disturbando.

Struggling to remain human.

Beautiful song with this chorus: I could've shown you America.

The Wanted - Show Me Love

You should've known I love you

Though I'll never say it too much

Maybe you didn't get me

Maybe I'll never know what I done

Now I'm lost in the distance
You look at me like a stranger
Cause how it looks right now to me
Is you were scared of the danger

Could've shown you America
All the bright lights of the universe
Could have reached, the highest heights
A different place, a different life
Remember that night underneath the stars
For a minute I thought the world was ours
All you had to do was show me love

Yeah it's true you know, we're not perfect
There's a fire inside of me
It means I'll fight for the things that are worth it
If it makes me feel complete
Cause I'm hitting rocks, and I'm taking shots
I'm prepared to lose everything I've got

Now I'm lost in the distance
You look at me like a stranger
Cause how it looks right now to me
That nothing can save us

Could've shown you America
All the bright lights of the universe
Could have reached, the highest heights
A different place, a different life
Remember that night underneath the stars
For a minute I thought the world was ours
All you had to do was show me love

Show me love, looove
Show me love, looove
Show me love, show me show me love...
Show me show me love...
Show me love

Could've shown you America
All the bright lights of the universe
Could have reached, the highest heights
A different place, a different life
Remember that night underneath the stars
For a minute I thought the world was ours
All you had to do was show me love

All you had to do was show me love
